How To Apply For Passport :

1)  Suppose If you are applying first time for the passport then you have to download or obtain the passport application by following the below link   www.passport.nic.in

2) After downloading the application you have to fill up the all the mandatory fields in the application and you need to submit it in the respective passport office either directly or through representative by authorization letter. (Or) you can also submit the applications in District collectorate office or DSP Office.

3) you have to  submit one proof of residence like ration card / voter identity card/ power bill/ water bill/ telephone bill/ Any appointment letter of reputed companies with the letter head.

4) And you have to submit the proof of date of birth along with two photo copies of date of birth certificates issuing  by the district office register of births and deaths.

5) Suppose now you are not staying at the present address since last one year at that , you need to submit  additional set of personal particulars form for each place of residence with a photograph and two self attested  copies of supporting documents.

6) Suppose if you are public/private sector employee then  you have to submit the no objection letter from the respective organization.

7) If you have passport already and you would like to change the name at that time you need to submit two self attested copies of respective document (like your’s husband’s passport if it is  due to marriage) else you have to submit the affidavit.

8) If you are from Indian then you need to submit the two photocopies of citizenship documents.

9) If you are Eligible for ECNR ( Emigration check not require ) endorsement on your passport then you need to submit two supporting documents.

10) Finally All the documents will be checked against original documents in the passport office while submission of the application.
